On June 25, 2025, the Specialist Conference Construction Power Technology 2025 took place in Hückeswagen – with 60 participants from all over Germany, the event was completely booked out. Organized by Baustrom-Akademie Berndt GmbH and hosted by SETOLITE Lichttechnik GmbH, the conference offered a compact and practice-oriented program focused on modern construction power supply and mobile lighting.
The focus was on current regulatory changes, high-voltage technology, legal requirements, and temporary energy management. The presentations impressively demonstrated how important a professional and safe electrical construction site setup is for smooth operations and occupational safety.
A special highlight was the factory tour through the construction department of SETOLITE, where three impressive live demonstrations took place:
- IP68 Protection Class Test: LED modules were completely submerged in an aquarium and functioned perfectly underwater – dust-tight (6) and waterproof for permanent underwater storage (8).
- Impact Resistance Demo: Participants personally tested the mechanical robustness of LED modules and luminaire housings with a hammer.
- Electrotechnical Tests: Professional measurements of protective conductor resistance, insulation resistance, and power consumption were demonstrated live.
The conference impressively combined practical application, technical know-how, and networking for professionals from construction and electrical engineering.
